Fakhar Zaman has been suspended for two matches in the PSL over a ball-tampering allegation.
He was found to have violated the code of conduct, and the suspension was issued under HBL PSL Article 2.14. The decision was made by match referee Roshan Mahanama after reviewing the evidence and hearing Fakhar Zaman’s explanation.
During the hearing, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi and the team manager were also present.

the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a Rs20 million fine on national pacer Naseem Shah over a controversial tweet about Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.According to the PCB, Naseem breached several clauses of his “Central Contract” and the “PCB Social Media Guidelines”. A personal hearing was held by a three-member Disciplinary Committee earlier after reviewing his response to a show cause notice issued on 27th March 2026.
The PCB said, “The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the outcomes of disciplinary committee proceedings pertaining to breaches of various clauses of Naseem Shah’s Central Contract and the PCB Social Media Guidelines.”
Despite issuing an unconditional apology and terminating his social media adviser, Naseem was fined Rs20 million. His adviser has also been blacklisted by the PCB from working with any national players under its jurisdiction.
The PCB added, “Whilst noting the unconditional apology tendered, Naseem is found to have breached various clauses of his Central Contract and a fine of PKR 2 crores has been imposed. The PCB remains committed to upholding professional standards, contractual obligations and the integrity of the game.”
The issue arose after the PSL 11 opening ceremony at Gaddafi Stadium, where CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz was the guest of honour. During the event, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi welcomed her and introduced her to the franchise owners participating in the tournament.
