PFUJ Workers delegation calls on Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain today.

Minister Fawad said that Prime Minister Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government remains committed to provide basic facilities to journalist community.

He assured that the government would provide journalists with health cards facility on priority basis.

Furthermore, the govt would also introduce special packages for journalists in Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and Kamyab Jawan program.

PFUJ (Workers) President Pervaiz Shaukat was leading the delegation.

Moreover, the minister underlined the Journalists Protection Bill a revolutionary step of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. That aims to protect the rights of journalists and media workers.

Meanwhile, Fawad condemned the recent firing incident on Pervaiz Shaukat.

He further said that in this regard, he has sought a report from Inspector General Police.
