Royal Family Set for Easter Reunion at Windsor Castle

Buckingham Palace confirmed that The Britain King and Queen are back to home for the celebration of Easter, at the Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel.

The Easter Matins service expected to see, royal family’s senior member such as William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, along with Princess Anne and her husband Sir Tim Laurence, as well as Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

2nd April, on Thursday, for appearing the Royal Maundy Service, their royalties will travel to St Asaph Cathedral marking a rare and historic return of the ceremony to Welsh soil for the first time in more than forty years.

This marks just the second time Prince and Princess of Wales has hosted the centuries-old tradition—the last occasion being in 1982—making this year’s service feel even more exceptional and noteworthy.

The Maundy ceremony is the Monarch distributes special Maundy money to local pensioners in a service which commemorates Jesus washing the feet of the Apostles at the Last Supper. In a modest yet impactful moment, the King will distribute specially minted Maundy Money to 77 men and 77 women.The Maundy Service happens each year on the Thursday before Easter Sunday.

While Easter at Windsor is expected to gather all families, it’s understood the King is relaxed about his nieces, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, opting to spend the day away this year.

The Easter festive Windsor is expected to bring the wider family together, at Windsor it’s understood the King is comfortable with his nieces, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, choosing to spend the day elsewhere this year.
