Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) just announced they’ve fired off more than 100 heavy missiles, attack drones, and around 200 rockets. This is the 89th round of their payback attacks across West Asia.
The IRGC’s public relations office put out a statement saying the hits happened Wednesday, teaming up with other parts of Iran’s military and resistance allies. They went after US and Israeli spots over a huge area.
The group said they nailed military bases and what they call Zionist terrorists in places like Eilat, Tel Aviv, and Bnei Brak. Local reports are talking about big losses of life from the strikes.
In Bahrain, they hit what they described as a US forces hideout with about 80 people inside using pinpoint attacks.
They also slammed ballistic missiles into a US helicopter unit at Al-Udayri base, wiping out one chopper and messing up others badly, according to the statement.
Iran’s hinting this isn’t over—more strikes are coming through the day.
The IRGC touted some big wins from the fight, like stronger unity in the Muslim world and better teamwork among resistance outfits. They pointed to rock-solid support back home in Iran as a major plus.
They spelled out the wider fallout too: “The difficult and stressful life in the occupied territories on the eve of the Jewish holiday, the suspension of medical services and food supplies in the United States, the escape of American soldiers from the region, and soaring inflation across the world are also among the results achieved by the delusional warmongers.”
These latest barrages are under Operation True Promise 4, the 89th straight wave of retaliation kicking off since February 28, when the US and Israel supposedly started hitting Iran.
Tehran insists all this is just legit self-defense by international rules. Groups in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen jumped in too, launching their own missiles and drones at US and Israeli targets nearby.
